The Re-Opening of a Legend

After an extensive three-year renovation, Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Aswan reopens on 1st October 2011.

On the banks of the Nile, this was a favourite haunt of Winston Churchill, and Agatha Christie penned ‘Death on the Nile’ while sipping mint tea in its café.

Adapting to the needs of the modern luxury traveller, the hotel showcases French elegance with local Egyptian culture. The redesigned hotel features four restaurants, four bars, So SPA, and 138 rooms, including 100 luxury suites, by esteemed designer Sybille de Margerie, member of the Taittinger family.
