Rythm, a beat, and a passion for preservation.  At the end of December 2011, youth from around the Maldives gathered to show off their talent for the traditional Maldivian dance and music known as Boduberu. Organized by Four Seasons Resorts Maldives in conjunction with Male’-based cultural arts institution Varutha,  the multi-day Baa Atoll Youth Boduberu Challenge (which kicked off with an intensive learning workshop) celebrated not only the immersion of youth in a rich cultural tradition, but also the recent designation of the Baa Atoll as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.  Watch the below video for a glimpse into the experience.
