The ideal candidate
You are motivated, curious and a confident communicator, ready to channel your creativity and love of the media. You may have some previous experience in communications or PR, though it is not a prerequisite. You work best when part of a team and are keen to learn. You are inquisitive, a reader, proactive, flexible and enthusiastic about new challenges. You are highly organised and are able to thrive in a deadline-driven working environment.
Your tasks include the following:
Day-to-day tasks
- Helping in the organisation of press functions and press trips
- Building strong relationships and networks with colleagues and media
- Attending press functions and hosting press trips as required by the Account Director
- Daily reading/engagement with print and digital media
- Being responsible for press cuttings resulting from our work
- Clipping and sharing press coverage with clients
- Writing and helping distribute press releases
- Crafting creative story angles and pitching, to generate favourable coverage
- Being responsible for monitoring forward features and pitching accordingly
- Preparing accurate media lists
- Updating press kits as required
- Completing client reports
Campaigns
- Researching third-party information and industry reports on behalf of clients
- Helping with ideas and information, contributing to the success of individual client campaigns
Other
- Researching for new business proposals
- Evaluating and operating our filing system, and maintaining organisation
- Contributing to PRCO Group social channels
- Liaison with our global offices as required
- Any other works dictated by the Directors
